Meet Chesapeake Charlie

One of my favorite things to do is give my plushies their own personalities. If there’s one thing Maryland is famous for, it’s crabs! From Old Bay seasoning to waterfront feasts, crabs are more than just food here—they’re part of the culture. And now, that love of crabs has found its way into the world of handmade plushies with my newest creation: Chesapeake Charlie, the crochet crab.

Handmade With Love

Charlie is crocheted using soft, plush yarn that makes him both huggable and durable. His big claws, round body, and shiny button eyes give him the perfect mix of cute and quirky—just the kind of personality you’d expect from a crab raised by the Chesapeake Bay.

Every stitch is done by hand, making each crab unique. No two are exactly alike, which means when you adopt a Chesapeake Charlie, you’re taking home a one-of-a-kind treasure.
